Ios Island in Greece is a very beautiful and picturesque Greek Island with excellent sandy beaches and hundreds chapels.
Mylopotas is the best beach of the island and one of the best in the Aegean Sea. It is 1 Km long, wide with fine golden sand. There are bars, tavernas and mini markets that make Mylopotas an excellent resort, the best choice to stay in Ios. There is a frequent and inexpensive bus service from Mylopotas to Hora (Village) and the port.
Manthos' Place is located just a few metres from the beach and offers superior view to the sea. It is also 5 minutes away from Hora by bus and 10 minutes from the port of Ios. From Manthos' Place there is easy access to all parts of the greater Ios area using public transportation means such as bus and taxi.
The best and most popular resort on Ios Island
By sea: There are adequate ferry and catamaran connections with Piraeus port (Athens) and Santorini Island. Ios is also connected to Naxos, Paros and Mykonos, Crete plus many more smaller islands such as Sikinos, Folegandros, Koufonissia, Anafi, Amorgos.
By Air: Via Santorini Airport (there are direct flights from Europe), then ferry / catamaran cross to Ios Island (50 - 90 minutes journey time).
We stayed here for a few nights and had a great time! Our room was newly refurbished, modern decor and large, clean bathroom. The balcony also had great views over the ocean! The pool area was a great place to hang out and the WiFi worked well out here as well as in the room. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the main beachfront which worked great for us, and the bus stop back into Chora is literally next to the hotel! We’d highly recommend
This was my 3rd year at Manthos Place and as always great. I had my same room again with my same beautiful view to the sea. Anna and sons as always very friendly and giving you all the service you need! Perfect location, close to Mylopotas beach and busstop to go to the village. Very much loved the breakfast at the pool with the view to the beach and mountains.
What a great hotel, in a perfect location. Hands down one of the most warm welcomes we have received whilst travelling in Europe. I feel apart of the family here. We extended our stay here longer than we had expected because it has just been wonderful. The owners really give you the time of day. If you need anything they will point you in the right direction. Clean rooms, great location, and an amazing view of Mylopotoas beach from the swimming pool, 2 minute walk to the beach. Bus stop is just outside for heading into town.
